143 – al-Mufaḍḍal ibn Ghassān narrated to us; ʿAlī ibn ʿAyyāsh al-Ḥimṣī narrated to us; al-Layth ibn Saʿd narrated to us; Yazīd ibn ʿAbd Allāh ibn Usāma ibn al-Hād narrated to me, from Yaʿqūb ibn Khālid ibn al-Musayyab, from ʿAṭāʾ ibn Yasār, from ʿAbd Allāh ibn ʿAmr ibn al-ʿĀṣ, who said:

“In the Book of Allah that was sent down, it is written that the difference between a man’s enjoyment and a woman’s enjoyment is like the trace a needle leaves in clay compared with the furrow left by a heavy digging tool—yet Allah has veiled them with modesty.”
