128 – ʿAbd Allāh ibn Muʿāwiyah al-Jumaḥī narrated to us; Muḥammad ibn Thābit al-ʿAbdī narrated to us; Hārūn ibn Riʾāb narrated to us, from Abū Najīḥ, who said:
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “Poor, poor, poor is the man who has no wife.” They asked, “O Messenger of Allah, even if he is very wealthy?” He replied, “Even if he is very wealthy. Poor, poor, poor is the woman who has no husband.” ⦗277⦘ They asked, “O Messenger of Allah, even if she is rich and possesses ample means?” He said, “Even if she is rich and possesses ample means.”
١٢٨ - حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُعَاوِيَةَ الْجُمَحِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ ثَابِتٍ الْعَبْدِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا هَارُونُ بْنُ رِئَابٍ، عَنْ أَبِي نَجِيحٍ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ: «مِسْكِينٌ مِسْكِينٌ مِسْكِينٌ رَجُلٌ لَيْسَتْ لَهُ امْرَأَةٌ» قَالُوا: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، وَإِنْ كَانَ كَثِيرَ الْمَالِ؟ قَالَ: «وَإِنْ كَانَ كَثِيرَ الْمَالِ، مِسْكِينَةٌ مِسْكِينَةٌ مِسْكِينَةٌ امْرَأَةٌ لَيْسَ لَهَا زَوْجٌ» ⦗٢٧٧⦘ قَالُوا: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، وَإِنْ كَانَتْ غَنِيَّةً مُكْثِرَةً؟ قَالَ: «وَإِنْ كَانَتْ غَنِيَّةً مُكْثِرَةً»
