123 – Ahmad ibn Ibrahim narrated to us; Abu Maslama al-Minqari narrated to me; he said: I heard Salam ibn Abi Mutiʿ say: “I do not know it to be lawful for a man to marry off either a follower of innovation or a habitual drinker. The innovator will lead his child into the Fire, while the drinker will cast his child adrift without even realising it, and will keep on committing one offense after another.”
