119 – Ishaq ibn Ibrahim narrated to us; Ibrahim ibn Saʿd informed us; my father narrated to me, from Ibrahim ibn Muhammad ibn Talhah, who said:
ʿUmar ibn al-Khattab said, “Women of noble lineage should not be married off except to men who are their equals.”
١١٩ - حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، أَخْبَرَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ طَلْحَةَ، قَالَ: قَالَ عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ ﵁: «لَا يَنْبَغِي لِذَوَاتِ الْأَحْسَابِ تَزَوُّجُهُنَّ إِلَّا مِنَ الْأَكْفَاءِ»
