9 – Abu Khaythama narrated to us; Wakiʿ narrated to us, from Sufyan, from Muzahim b. Zufar, from Mujahid, from Abu Hurayrah, who said:
The Prophet ﷺ said, “A dinar you spend in the cause of Allah, a dinar you spend to emancipate a slave, a dinar you give in charity, and a dinar you spend on your family— the most virtuous of them is the dinar you spend on your family.”
٩ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو خَيْثَمَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، عَنْ مُزَاحِمِ بْنِ زُفَرَ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: قَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ: «دِينَارٌ أَنْفَقْتَهُ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ، وَدِينَارٌ أَنْفَقْتَهُ فِي رَقَبَةٍ، وَدِينَارٌ تَصَدَّقْتَ بِهِ، وَدِينَارٌ أَنْفَقْتَهُ عَلَى أَهْلِكَ؛ أَفْضَلُهَا الدِّينَارُ الَّذِي أَنْفَقْتَهُ عَلَى أَهْلِكَ»
