63 – Ibrāhīm ibn Saʿd narrated to us; al-Faḍl ibn Dukayn narrated to us; ⦗48⦘ Hishām ibn al-Mughīrah al-Thaqafī narrated to us; Yahyā ibn ʿAmr ibn Salamah related to me, from his father ʿAmr ibn Salamah, that ʿĀʾishah (may Allah be pleased with her) said:
“By Allah, I wish I had been a tree. By Allah, I wish I had been a clod of earth. By Allah, I wish that Allah had never created me at all.”
٦٣ - حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ دُكَيْنٍ، حَدَّثَنَا ⦗٤٨⦘ هِشَامُ بْنُ الْمُغِيرَةِ الثَّقَفِيُّ، حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى بْنُ عَمْرِو بْنِ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَمْرِو بْنِ سَلَمَةَ، أَنَّ عَائِشَةَ ﵂ قَالَتْ: «وَاللَّهِ لَوَدِدْتُ أَنِّي كُنْتُ شَجَرَةً، وَوَاللهِ لَوَدِدْتُ أَنِّي كُنْتُ مَدَرَةً، وَوَاللهِ لَوَدِدْتُ أَنَّ اللَّهَ لَمْ يَخْلُقْنِي شَيْئًا»
