41 – Muhammad ibn ‘Abbad ibn Musa narrated to us; Zayd ibn al-Hubab narrated to us; from Musa ibn ‘Ubaydah; he informed me, ‘Umar ibn ‘Abd Allah, the client of Ghafrah, that Abu Bakr al-Siddiq—may Allah be pleased with him—once saw a bird flying and then perching on a tree. He said, “O bird, how blessed you are! No reckoning and no punishment await you. If only I were like you.”
