33 – Hārūn related to us; Sayyār related to us; Jaʿfar related to us, who said: I heard Mālik ibn Dīnār say, “I long for the day when Allah gathers all created beings on the Day of Resurrection and says to me, ‘O Mālik!’ I would reply, ‘Here I am at Your service.’ He would then grant me leave to prostrate before Him just once, and by that I would know that He is pleased with me; after which He would say, ‘O Mālik, today become dust.’”
