2 – ʿAbd al-Rahman ibn Yunus Abū Muslim narrated to us; Sufyan ⦗19⦘ narrated to us; and Muhammad ibn ʿAlī al-Sulamī also narrated to us, from ʿAbdullah ibn Muhammad ibn ʿAqīl, who said: I heard Jābir ibn ʿAbdullah say: The Messenger of Allah—peace and blessings be upon him—said to me, “Jābir, do you know that Allah, exalted is He, brought your father back to life? He told him, ‘Ask of Me.’ He said, ‘I wish to be returned to the world so that I may be killed once more.’ Allah replied, ‘I have decreed that they shall not return to it.’”
