153 – ʿUbayd Allah ibn Jarir told me; Muhammad ibn Abi Bakr narrated to us; Muharrar Abu Saʿid narrated to us, from ʿAbd al-Wahid ibn Zayd, who said:
“We visited a brother of ours who was gravely ill; his soul—so far as we could see—had risen to his throat. We therefore prayed, ‘O Allah, ease for him the throes of death.’ He then regained consciousness for a moment and said, ‘I heard what you said. By Allah, I would have wished that it remained here forever, for I do not know what glad tidings await me.’”
