125 – Muhammad ibn ‘Abbad ibn Musa narrated to me; Zayd ibn al-Hubab narrated to us, from Musa ibn ‘Ubaydah, who in turn reported from ‘Umar ibn ‘Abd Allah, the freedman of Ghafrah:
Abu Bakr al-Ṣiddīq, may Allah be pleased with him, once saw a bird fluttering about and then alighting on a tree ⦗75⦘. He said, “O bird, how blessed you are—no accounting awaits you and no punishment. Would that I were like you; if only it could be so.”
