120 – Muhammad ibn Qudāmah narrated to me, saying: I heard Bishr ibn al-Ḥārith say, “I visited ʿAbd Allāh ibn Dāwūd during the illness in which he died, and he kept repeating—running his hands along the wall—‘If I were given the choice between entering Paradise ⦗73⦘ and being a single brick from this wall, I would choose to be that brick. When would someone like me ever enter Paradise?’”
