108 – Yusuf ibn Musa narrated to us; Jarir narrated to us, from Qabus, from his father, who said: “We were in the presence of Ibn ʿUmar when a man supplicated, ‘O Allah, cause me to die.’ Ibn ʿUmar rebuked and scolded him, saying, ‘You are going to die in any case; rather, ask Allah for well-being.’”
