89 — Hamza ibn al-ʿAbbās narrated to me: ʿAbd Allāh ibn ʿUthmān reported to us: ʿAbd Allāh ibn al-Mubārak reported to us: Ibn Lahīʿa reported to us, from ʿAyyāsh ibn ʿAbbās, from Shuyaym ibn Baytān, from Shufayy al-Asbahī, who said, “Whoever speaks excessively commits many sins.”
٨٩ - حَدَّثَنِي حَمْزَةُ بْنُ الْعَبَّاسِ، أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ، أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ، أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ، عَنْ عَيَّاشِ بْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، عَنْ شُيَيْمِ بْنِ بَيْتَانَ، عَنْ شُفَيٍّ الْأَصْبَحِيِّ، قَالَ: «مَنْ كَثُرَ كَلَامُهُ، كَثُرَتْ خَطِيئَتُهُ»
