88 — ʿAlī ibn Abī Maryam narrated to me, from ʿUthmān ibn Zufar al-Taymī: Muhammad ibn ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz al-Taymī narrated to us and said: Al-Hayy reported that Ibrāhīm said, “When a believer intends to speak, he first considers: if his words will count in his favor, he speaks; but if they will count against him, he refrains. As for the wicked man, his tongue simply runs on and on.”
