7 — Hamzah ibn al-Abbās narrated to me, saying: Abdān ibn Uthmān informed us; Abd Allah informed us; Mamar informed us, from al-Zuhrī, from Abd al-Rahmān ibn Māiz, from Sufyān ibn Abd Allah al-Thaqafī, who said: I asked, “O Messenger of Allah, tell me of something to which I may hold fast.” He replied, “Say: ‘My Lord is Allah,’ then remain steadfast.” I then asked, “O Messenger of Allah, what do you fear most for me?” He took hold of his tongue and said, “This.”
