746 — Fadl ibn Ishāq related to me: Abū Qutayba related to us, on the authority of al-Masūdī, on the authority of Awn ibn Abd Allah, who said: “I do not think that a man scrutinizes the faults of others except out of a heedlessness that has made him neglect himself.”
