740 — Abd Allah ibn Muhammad al-Balkhī related to me: Makkī ibn Ibrāhīm related to us: Hafs ibn Abd Allah related to us, from Uthmān ibn Atā al-Khurāsānī, from his father, who said: “Whoever is subjected to backbiting will have half his sins forgiven.”
٧٤٠ - حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْبَلْخِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا مَكِّيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، حَدَّثَنَا حَفْصُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ عَطَاءٍ الْخُرَاسَانِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ: «مَنِ اغْتِيبَ غِيبَةً غُفِرَ لَهُ نِصْفُ ذُنُوبِهِ»
