727 — Al-Hasan ibn Abd al-Azīz related to us: Amr ibn Abī Salama related to us, from Zuhayr ibn Abī Salama, from Zuhayr ibn Muhammad, from al-Alā ibn Abd al-Rahmān, from his father, from Abū Hurayra—may Allah be pleased with him—who said: The Messenger of Allah—may Allah bless him and grant him peace—said, “Among the major sins is a man’s attacking the honor of a Muslim man, and among the major sins is responding to one insult with two.”
