726 — Al-Hasan ibn Abd al-Azīz related to me: Amr ibn Abī Salama related to us, saying: I heard Saʿīd ibn Abd al-Azīz recount that Abd al-Rahmān, the brother of Abū Makhrama, would go four months without speaking to anyone. Whenever he needed something, he would write to his household, “Do such and such.”
