716 — Abū Muhammad al-Tamīmī also narrated to me, on the authority of an elder from Quraysh, who said: Iyās ibn Muʿāwiyah was told, “You speak a great deal.” He replied, “Do I speak correctly or wrongly?” They said, “Correctly.” He replied, “Then speaking a great deal of what is correct is better.”
