679 — Al-Fadl ibn Ishāq narrated to me: Abū Usāma narrated to us, from Sufyān, from Usāma ibn Zayd, from al-Zuhrī, from Urwa, from Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), who said, “The ⦗295⦘ Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) did not speak in the rapid manner that you do. Whenever he sat in a gathering, he spoke in clear, distinct words, explaining them so that whoever heard him could remember them.”
