67 — Ahmad ibn Jamīl narrated to us: Abd Allah ibn al-Mubārak informed us. He said: Īsā ibn Abd al-Rahmān informed us: Talha al-Ayāmī narrated to me. He said: Abd al-Rahmān ibn Awsaja narrated to me, from al-Barā—may Allah be pleased with him—who said: A Bedouin came to the Prophet—peace and blessings be upon him—and said, “Direct me to a deed that will admit me into Paradise.” He replied, “Feed the hungry, give drink to the thirsty, enjoin what is right, and forbid what is wrong. If you cannot do that, then restrain your tongue from everything but good.”
