649 — Abū Kurayb related to us: al-Muhāribī related to us, from Layth, who said: “I believe he related it from Mujāhid—may Allah be pleased with him—who said: ‘A man may quiet his little daughter by saying, “Be quiet until I buy you this or that,” and a little lie is recorded against him.’”
