645 — Muhammad ibn Yahyā al-Wāsitī related to me: Yazīd ibn Hārūn related to us: al-Yamān ibn al-Mughīra informed us: Ibn Jūdān related to me that Abū Hurayra—may Allah be pleased with him—had related to him, saying:
“I intended to set out in a certain direction, so I went to the Messenger of Allah—may Allah bless him and grant him peace. He was seated while I was standing. I said, ‘Messenger of Allah, what do you counsel me to do?’ He raised his head and said, ‘I counsel you to feed others, spread greetings of peace, and speak gently.’”
