638 — Hārūn ibn Sufyān related to me: Abū Ghassān related to us: Abū Qudāma related to us, who said: I heard Mālik ibn Dīnār—may Allah have mercy on him—say:

“If people had to supply the sheets on which their words are recorded, they would speak less.”
