606 — Abū Ya‘lā al-Thaqafī narrated to me: Ahmad ibn Yūnus narrated to us, from Ibn Shihāb, from al-A‘mash, from al-Hasan, who reported that a man praised Umar (may Allah be pleased with him), whereupon he said, “You are destroying me and destroying yourself.”
