591 — Abū Bakr related to us; Muhammad ibn al-Hasan al-Asadī related to us; Abū Hilāl related to us; Muhammad ibn Sīrīn related to us, from Abū Hurayra—may Allah be pleased with him—who said: The Messenger of Allah—may Allah bless him and grant him peace—said: “Reviling a Muslim is wickedness, and fighting him is disbelief.” Abū Bakr said: “This is not found among the people of Basra.”
