575 — Azhar ibn Marwān related to me; Ja‘far ibn Sulaymān related to us; al-Mu‘allā related to us. He said: Muwarriq said, “There is something I have sought for so many years but have been unable to attain, and I will never cease seeking it.” They asked, “What is it, Abū al-Mu‘tamir?” He replied, “Refraining from what does not concern me.”
