570 — Al-Husayn ibn Mahdī related to us; Abd al-Razzāq related to us; Ja‘far ibn Sulaymān informed us, from Umar ibn Nabhān, from Qatāda, from Anas—may Allah be pleased with him—who said: The Messenger of Allah—peace and blessings be upon him—said: “On the night I was taken on the Night Journey, I passed by people whose lips were being cut with shears of fire. Whenever they were cut, they grew back. I asked, ‘O Gabriel, who are these people?’ He replied, ‘They are preachers from your nation who say what they do not do.’”
