569 — Muhammad ibn Mansūr related to me; Husayn ibn Muhammad related to us; Ibn Ayyāsh related to us, from Abū Salama al-Sanānī—may Allah have mercy on him—who reported that Ka‘b used to say: “Speaking little is a principle of profound significance. Therefore, keep to silence, for it is commendable restraint, entails little blame, and brings relief from sins.”
