533 — ʿAlī ibn al-Jaʿd narrated to us. Shuʿba and Qays informed us, from Habīb ibn Abī Thābit, from Maymūn ibn Abī Shabīb, from al-Mughīra ibn Shuʿba—may Allah be pleased with him—from the Prophet ﷺ, who said: “Whoever relates a hadith while believing it to be a lie is himself one of the liars.”
