475 — Ishāq ibn Ismāʿīl narrated to us: Sufyān narrated to us, from Ismāʿīl ibn Abī Khālid and Bayān, both of whom heard Qays ibn Abī Hāzim, who heard Abū Bakr al-Siddīq—may Allah be pleased with him—say, “O people, beware of lying, for it is incompatible with faith.”
٤٧٥ - حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ أَبِي خَالِدٍ، وَبَيَانٍ، سَمِعَا قَيْسَ بْنَ أَبِي حَازِمٍ، سَمِعَ أَبَا بَكْرٍ الصِّدِّيقَ ﵁ يَقُولُ: «أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ، إِيَّاكُمْ وَالْكَذِبَ، فَإِنَّهُ مُجَانِبُ الْإِيمَانِ»
