470 — Abū Hafs narrated to us: Yahyā ibn Muhammad ibn Qays narrated to us: al-ʿAlāʾ ibn ʿAbd al-Rahmān narrated to us, from his father, from Abū Hurayra—may Allah be pleased with him—who said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “The signs of a hypocrite are three: when he speaks, he lies; when he makes a promise, he breaks it; and when he is entrusted with something, he betrays that trust.”
