469 — Abū Hafs al-Sayrafī narrated to us: Abū Dāwūd narrated to us: Shuʿba narrated to us: Mansūr informed me, saying: I heard Abū Wāʾil narrate from ʿAbdullāh—may Allah be pleased with him—that the Prophet ﷺ said: “The signs of a hypocrite are three: when he speaks, he lies; when he makes a promise, he breaks it; and when he is entrusted with something, he betrays that trust.”
