467 — Abū Khaythama narrated to us: Jarīr narrated to us, from Mansūr, from Abū Wāʾil, from ʿAbdullāh—may Allah be pleased with him—who said: The Messenger of Allah—may Allah bless him and grant him peace—said: “Indeed, lying leads to wickedness, and wickedness leads to the Fire. A man will continue to lie until he is recorded with Allah as an inveterate liar.”
