464 — Ahmad narrated to us: Abū Muʿāwiyah narrated to us: Hajjāj narrated to us, from Abū Ishāq, who said: The companions of ʿAbd Allāh—may Allah be pleased with him—would say, “If someone makes a promise and says, ‘If Allah wills,’ he has not broken his promise.”
