443 — Ali ibn al-Jaʿd narrated to us: Shuʿbah informed us: Amr ibn Murrah informed me, saying: I heard Murrah al-Hamdānī say: Abdullah—may Allah be pleased with him—would say: “Hold fast to truthfulness, for it leads to Paradise. A man continues to speak truthfully until he is recorded with Allah as a man of perfect truthfulness, and righteousness becomes firmly rooted in his heart, leaving not even a needle-point’s worth of space in which wickedness can settle.”
