424 — Ali ibn al-Hasan also narrated to me, from Zakariyyā ibn Adī: al-Salt ibn Bistām narrated to us: A man from Taym Allah, who had kept company with al-Shabī and Ibrāhīm, narrated to me, saying:

“I have never seen anyone exercise greater control over his tongue than Talha ibn Musarrif.”
