Al-Samt wa-Adab al-LisanIbn Abi al-Dunya

Abū Khaythama narrated to us: Ismāʿīl ibn Ibrāhīm narrated to us: Ayyūb narrated to us, from Abū Qilāba, from Abū al-Muhallab, from ʿImrān ibn Husayn—may Allah be pleased with him—who said:

While the Messenger of Allah—may Allah bless him and grant him peace—was on one of his journeys, an Ansārī woman was riding a she-camel. She became annoyed and cursed it. The Prophet—may Allah bless him and grant him peace—heard her and said, “Take off what it is carrying and let it go, for it has been cursed.”

ʿImrān said, “It is as though I can see it now, walking among the people, with no one going near it.”
