367 — Abū Muslim narrated to us: Miskīn ibn Bukayr narrated to us, from al-Mas‘ūdī, from Awn ibn Abd Allah—may Allah have mercy on him—who said: “None of you should ever say, ‘May Allah take delight in you,’ for Allah does not take delight in anything. Rather, let him say, ‘May Allah make you a delight to the eye.’ For an‘ama means ‘to gladden.’”
