363 — Yahyā ibn Ayyūb narrated to us: Ismā‘īl ibn Ja‘far narrated to us: al-‘Alā’ ibn ‘Abd al-Rahmān informed us, from his father, from Abū Hurayra—may Allah be pleased with him—that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Let none of you say, ‘My male slave’ or ‘my female slave.’ You are all servants of Allah, and all your women are female servants of Allah. Rather, let him say, ‘My boy’ and ‘my girl,’ or ‘my young man’ and ‘my young woman.’”
