355 — ‘Alī ibn al-Ja‘d narrated to us: Hushaym informed us, from Ismā‘īl ibn Sālim, from al-Qāsim ibn Mukhaymirah—may Allah have mercy on him—who said, “I would rather swear by the cross than swear by the life of a man.”
٣٥٥ - حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْجَعْدِ، أَخْبَرَنَا هُشَيْمٌ، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ سَالِمٍ، عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ مُخَيْمِرَةَ، ﵀، قَالَ: «لَأَنْ أَحْلِفَ بِالصَّلِيبِ أَحَبُّ إِلَيَّ مِنْ أَنْ أَحْلِفَ بِحَيَاةِ رَجُلٍ»
