343 — Ali ibn al-Ja‘d narrated to us: Ibn Uyaynah informed us, from al-Mughīrah, from Ibrāhīm—may Allah have mercy on him—who said: A man delivered an address in the presence of the Prophet—may Allah bless him and grant him peace—and said, “Whoever obeys Allah and His Messenger is rightly guided, and whoever disobeys them both has gone astray.” He said, “Do not say it that way. Say: ‘Whoever obeys Allah and His Messenger is rightly guided, and whoever disobeys Allah and His Messenger has gone astray.’”
