Al-Samt wa-Adab al-LisanIbn Abi al-Dunya

340 — Abū Aqīl al-Asadī related to us: Abū Usāma related to us, from Muhammad ibn Amr, from Aisha—may Allah be pleased with her—who said: A man came seeking permission to enter upon the Prophet—peace and blessings be upon him—who said, “What a wretched member of his clan!” When the man entered, the Prophet—peace and blessings be upon him—received him cordially. Aisha said: I questioned him about that, and he replied, “O Aisha, Allah does not love obscenity or obscene conduct.”
