338 — Ahmad ibn Jamīl related to us: Abd Allāh ibn al-Mubārak informed us: Maʿmar informed us. He said: Al-Ahnaf ibn Qays—may Allah be pleased with him—said: “Shall I not tell you of the worst of ailments? A foul tongue and base character.”
