319 — Suwayd ibn Saīd related to us: Yahyā ibn Zakariyyā ibn Abī Zāida related to us, from his father, from Abū Ishāq, from Abū Abd Allah al-Jadalī, who said: I asked Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) about the character of the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace). She replied: “He was the best of people in character. He was neither obscene nor deliberately foul-spoken, nor was he clamorous in the marketplaces. He would not repay an evil deed in kind; rather, he would pardon and overlook.”
