308 — Khalaf ibn Hishām narrated to us: Khālid narrated to us, from Abd al-Malik, from Atā ⦗178⦘, may Allah be pleased with him, concerning the verse, “Speak kindly to people” [al-Baqara: 83]. He said: “This means all people, polytheists and others alike.”
