288 — Ahmad ibn Manī narrated to us: Muhammad ibn al-Hasan ibn Abī Yazīd ⦗170⦘ al-Hamdānī narrated to us, on the authority of Thawr ibn Yazīd, from Khālid ibn Madān, from Muādh ibn Jabal—may Allah be pleased with him—who said: The Messenger of Allah—peace and blessings be upon him—said, “Whoever reproaches his brother for a sin—Ibn Manī said: Our companions said, ‘He had repented to Allah for it’—will not die until he commits it himself.”
