285 — Abdullah ibn Abī Badr narrated to me: Rawh ibn Ubādah informed us, on the authority of Mubārak, from ⦗169⦘ al-Hasan—may Allah be pleased with him—who said: The Messenger of Allah—peace and blessings be upon him—said, “Indeed, for one of those who ridicule others, a gate of Paradise will be opened, and he will be told, ‘Come! Come!’ He will approach in anguish and distress, but when he reaches it, it will be shut before him. Then another gate will be opened for him, and he will be told, ‘Come! Come!’ He will approach in anguish and distress, but when he reaches it, it will be shut before him. This will continue until, when a gate is opened for the man and he is told, ‘Come! Come!’ he will no longer approach it.”
